“Open Your Eyes: Order of the Phoenix” is a Harry Potter fanfic that remixes elements from the original book and movie. The cover has the illusion of being ripped horizontally. The top half is an image of Harry and Hermione from the film. Their faces are inches apart in an intimate and possibly romantic position. Their stance is provocative for readers who thought Harry and Hermione should have ended up together. The line of Mason typeface used on the cover immediately calls to mind the Harry Potter series. It’s topped by a different serif typeface indicating that there are marked differences in this story from the original source. The bottom half of the cover is a collage of characters from the film, all looking forward ominously. The overall feel from the cover is that Harry and Hermione must cling to each other to escape the handlers from Hogwarts.
