Normally I would say that because of monetary elements it is not fanfiction, however, I am conflicted. Upon researching Coates, he is very involved in the black community and writing for the black community. He has written about slavery, operations, and in the Black Panther case, wrote about black characters in the primarily white Marvel Universe. I’m not sure if motivations outweigh monetary elements, but I am conflicted
